Review of Comstock Charter, Michigan

great recreation
Star Rating - 11/28/2008
As a resident and an urban planner I can attest to the abundance of recreation opportunities in this community. Comstock is a charter township, and as such has its own parks and rec board, so even with the upcoming budget cuts expected nation wide, Comstock will still retain its quality of life. There are park types for all ages and nature experience preferences. Also, the pollution here is minimal compared to neighboring communities as the majority of paper mills (PCB distributors) were downstream from us. Pfizer is a problem in terms of pollution, but nobody wants to shake a fist at economic development so it is what it is. As a nature lover, I'm very happy with the rec opportunities here. Also, water trail AND bike trail coming soon!
